BLISTER RESISTANCE OF COATED PAPER IN HEATSET PRINTING
Product Details
- This method is used to measure the resistance of coated paper and coated board to blistering in the ovens of web-fed heatset printing presses.
- Because of flammability , ethyl acetate should be used only in a well ventilated room and should be kept away from open flame.
- This method of holding the rod eliminates downward pressure on its ends which causes upward flexure of its center that would result in uneven lacquer application.
- Blister resistance of a particular paper sample is obtained by performing a series of tests on different sample specimens while varying oven dwell time . The dwell time reported is the longest oven dwell time which does not result in “roughening” or “blisters.”
