- Source: Admin
Industry veterans joined Green Automotive Company Corporation to facilitate the company’s endeavor towards vehicle compliance and certification to ensure it conforms to standards as they gear up for its U.S. sales of the Zotye Electric SUV. Green Automotive Company is a U.S. public company and the exclusive importer/distributor of Zotye Electric Cars/SUVs to North America.
Compliance experts hired by the company include David Edgar, Julia Winter, and Yooncho Park, with 60 years in combined experience in automotive safety and emission certification. The team comprising this elite representation will ensure that the product is to cream of the offering in the industry.
Green Automotive’s Endeavor Towards Compliance Testing
In August 2010, placed an order with Zotye (Chinese company) for ten All Electric Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) with the aim to establishing an independent lab report on the EPA/DOT Certification and Compliance (also referred to as "Crash Testing").
The Law
Title 49 of the United States Code, Chapter 301, Motor Vehicle Safety, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, mandates the issuance of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and Regulations for conformance and certification compliance by motor vehicle and equipment items manufacturers. All Electric Vehicles must comply to the new standards set under this legislation mandate.
Green Automotive worked closely with the China factory and dealers in the U.S. to ensure compliance with FMVSS testing procedures, primarily crash testing, before the SUV's are put on sale in the U.S.
