Compliance
Compliance with the scheme is presently voluntary. Many security organizations have now realized that existing and potential clients require security service providers to be SIA-ACS accredited. The accreditation demonstrates the organization’s commitment to providing quality service. Thus, it gives the organization a competitive edge.
After a verification visit, the application will be considered and approved by the SIA, providing the necessary decision criteria have been fulfilled. Thus the ACS status is confirmed. Annual re-verifications are to be sought to ensure continuous compliance with the ACS requirements. In addition, a full verification should be sought every three years.
